Chris White is a master of the acoustic bass. He is the principal bass of the Virginia Symphony, and lent his skills for this musical project. His formal bio would say that Chris is the principal bass of the Virginia Symphony. He studied at the University of Rhode Island and the Manhattan School of Music. In 1996, he earned a spot in the New World Symphony in Miami under Michael Tilson Thomas, playing co- principal. He teaches double bass at Old Dominion University and the Governor’s School for the Arts and performs each summer with the Grant Park orchestra in Chicago.
