Chris Thomas King
Chris Thomas King is a sensitive guitarist, not to mention singer and pianist. I was at Blues Alley in DC one night and heard him play an adaptation of B.B. King’s The Thrill is Gone that was just hypnotic. So we got to talking. That was on a Thursday, and we were in the studio working together the next Sunday.
His formal bio would say that he is a Grammy Award-winning blues guitarist and singer whose masterful blues style reflects his New Orleans roots, as well as the genius of his mentor and friend, B.B. King. He played leading roles in the Coen brothers’ O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Ray.
